Cinderella 1	Cinderella is probably the best known of all folktales. Write everything you know about the Cinderella stories.
Cinderella 1	I love Cinderella.
Cinderella 2	Which main character; Cinderella, Yeh-shen, or Pear Blossom, do you feel faced the most difficult life and circumstances. Explain and defend your reasoning.
Cinderella 2	S15 I think that Yeh-Shen had the most difficult circumstances because she was treated so cruelly. Who else's mother would kill their pet? I think this goes beyond just cleaning.
Cinderella 1	S21 I think that Yeh Shen had the worst life because her step mom killed her fish. Then her fish comes back to life,but then it died again. She could not even get out of the house.
Cinderella 2	S2 I think yeh shen had more pain than any Cinderella story because her fish died and her step mother and step sister don't deserve to die.
Cinderella 2	S5 says...... I think that Pear Blossom had harder circumstances because she was ridiculed and orphaned earlier in life.Also,Yeh-Shen had her happiness with the king earlier in life.Cinderella at least had a room and was treated okay,actually.And I do think that Yeh-Shen had hardship,but hardly.Same goes for Cinderella.
Cinderella 2	s4: I think Yeh-Shen got treated the worst. Her step-mother barley let her in the house. Also, her step mother killed her fish! That was her ONLY friend!!!! That is cruel.Those are the reasons why Yeh- Shen got treated the worst.
Cinderella 2	S8 I think Yeh-Shen had the hardest life because she lost her best best friend. The other Cinderellas did not have a that bad of a life.
Cinderella 2	S17 I think Ye-shen had the hardest life, because her fish died because of her step-mom. She also was scared of people, it seemed like.
Cinderella 2	S20 I think Yeh-shen and Pear Blossom had the most difficult life because Yeah-shens stepmother killed her fish that she found as a child.I think Pear Blossoms stepmother
Cinderella 2	S3 Thinks that Yeh Shen was treated the most unfairly treated because she was rarely let inside the house only in the yard. Also her stepmom killed her only friend who was a fish! What harm could a FISH do to anyone anyone anyway. I mean how cruel is that anyway. I mean literally. S3.
Cinderella 2	S15 I belive that Yeh-Shen had the most cruel life because Yeh-Shen's step mother found Yeh-Shen's only friend and killed it! Who agrees with me?
Cinderella 2	S13 I think Yeh- Shen had the difficult life because her cruel mother killed her fish that Yeh-Shen loved so much.
Cinderella 2	S 10 I think Yeh-Shen faced the most circumstances because her very cruel mother killed her fish. Also she got stoned to death with her husband.
Cinderella	S14 I think that Yeh-Shen faced the most difficult life. One reason is her cruel Mother killed her magical fish and when she was running out of the festival she lost her gold slipper. But the spirit of the fish bones said do not lose the slippers. The reason she was running off was because she heard her stepsister say that the beautiful girl resembled Yeh-Shen.
Cinderella 2	S11 I think Yeh Shen had the most diffucult life because her fish died ,also she loved that fish so much.But Yeh Shen mother was mean enough to kill the fish .
Cinderella 2	s24 I think that Yeh-shen had a more difficult life because her step mother killed her fish, just because she kept a lie from her. Also in the Korean one Pear Blossom only had to do alot of chores, but she got help but Yeh-shen didn't.i Think that Yeh-Shen's mom deserves to get killed but her sister didn't.
Cinderella 2	S22 I think that Yeh-Shen lived the most difficult life because the stepmother murdered the fish, which was Yeh-Shen's only friend. Think about it this way: What if your mother killed your only friend? How would you feel?
Cinderella 2	S12 I think Yeh-Shen had the most difficult circumstances. I think she did because her stepmother killed her friend the fish. Another reason I think she had the most difficult circumstances is because when the holidays arrived her stepmother would not let her come to the celebration.

s1 to s5	Dear s5, I do kind of think so, but her fish didn't die! and more it was her best friend.So I think differently

s4 to s17	Interesting thought about "scared of people". I agree that Yeh-Shen was shy. I think she was just not used to people because her step mother kept her at home and had little contact with people. She spent most of her time talking to her fish until her step mom killed her fish.What I am trying to say is I agree with you!
s9	I think yeh shen was treated the worst because her mother killed her fish. She also did not get nice clothes just rags.
S2 to Cinderella 1	S2 I don't think Cinderella is the best known fairy tale because in China I bet Yeh Shen and different fairy tales are more popular in different countries.
s7	I think Yen shen got a worse life but it was her fault she lost her shoe she could of sucked on her shoe like I suck on my flipflops.
S16	I think that Yeh-Shen got treated worst. Her step mom killed her only friend that was a fish!I think that was REALLY cruel!
s11 to s5	I agree that Cinderella had a little happiness because she had mice as friends.
S12 to s13	S12 I agree with you Yeh-Shen had a very difficult life and the stepmother did more things to hurt Yeh-Shen.
s10 to s13	I agree with you that Yeh-Shen had a difficult life because her step mother killed her fish. Also she had to do all the chores around the house.
S23	S23 I think YehShen faced the most difficult life because her step mother was so cruel and so was her step sister because she just followed in her mothers footsteps not knowing what to do.But,regardless of that I think the step sister did not deserve the fate.Yeh shens step mother on the other hand definetly deserved the fate,why?Because, she is so cruel she kills Yeh Shens only friend,I mean,think about it,losing your only friend is just terribly unlucky and on top of that she and her husband were killed.Not only did Yeh Shen live the most difficult life but she also was the most unlucky.
S15 to S2	Dear S2, I agree with you S2 that stories that are from different countries are more popular in different countries.
S22 to S24	S24, I disagree that Yeh-Shen necessarily "kept a lie" from the stepmom just that she kept a secret from her.
S8 to S2	Dear S2, I agree but I think the stepmother deserved her fate and the the step sister did not.But that does not mean the stepsister helped not helping can sometimes be the worst thing to do.
S2 to S8	S2 S8 I agree that the step mother deseved to die and you are right about doing nothing. It is sometimes worst to do nothing.
S8 too S4	Dear S4 I agree.But why do you think Yeh-Shen had the hardest life? I think they did not deserve death-no body deserves death.
s10 to s9	I agree that Yeh-Shen was treated badly because her cruel step mother killed her fish.
to s11 from s12	S12 I agree with you Yeh-Shen had a hard life because of her stepmother and it was wrong of the stepmother to kill her best friend the fish.

s24 to s5	I don't agree I think that Yeh-shen had a harder life because Yeh-shen step mother killed her fish and that was her only friend! Also yeh-shen got no help for doing chores and pearblossom did from magical creatures. I think that Yeh-shen got a harder life.
S13 from S15	I agree that Yeh-Shen had the most horrible life because her extremely cruel mother killed her magical only friend because of her own greed!!! Extremely sad!!!
s13 to s5	Dear s5, I and many other people disagree with you.Here's the proof.I counted up how many people said Yeh-Shen, and how many people said Pear Blossom.The results were 3 Pear Blossom, and 24 Yeh-Shen. It's obvious that more people thought Yeh-Shen had the most difficult life.

s16 to s5	I disagree with you that pear blossom had the most difficult life. I think that Yeh-Shen's life was much more difficult then Pear Blossom's because her best friend- a fish died. Her step mother killed it ! I think that was cruel, and that it must have ruined Yeh Shen's life more then it already had been. I bet that Pear Blossom did have to go through hard times in life with her step mother and all, but I think that life for Pear Blossom wasn't as hard as it was for Yeh-Shen!
P11	Dear s7, I agree, but it's not really her fault-she HAD to run fast and her shoes were sandals and they probably tasted disgusting. If you were in a race and were wearing sandals, they would have fallen off anyway and sucking them wouldn't help!

Cinderella 3	In all three tales, a slipper was the item that identified the princess. How do you think the stepsister/s felt about it being Cinderella, Pear Blossom or Yeh-Shen?
S2 to S4	I agree that Yeh-shen went through the most pain but they need a punishment but the punishment was to live in the cave. It wasn't death.
to s5 from s6	I do think that it is weird that everybody thinks that Yeh-shen was the unluckiest.

S15	I think that in every Cinderella tale the stepsister and stepmother are jealous of Cinderella, Yeh-Shen and Pear Blossom's beauty-and since The stepmother and stepsister weren't as beautiful they found that the only way to get Pear Blossom, Cinderella or Yeh-Shen away was to block her with an almost impossible to finish list of tasks. S16 to S13	I agree that Yeh- Shen had the most difficult life. I also think that Yeh-Shen's difficult life made the story a bit more interesting, with her best friend- a fish dying and all all. Though it made her life hard,and us readers feel bad I do think it made Yeh-Shen's story more interesting. What do you think?
TO S4 FROM S12	Dear S4 I agree with you Yeh-shen had the hardest life because of her stepmom. I can't imagine having a mom as mean as Yeh-shen's mom even if it was a fairy tale.
