Third Grade Reception: Tonight is our Reception for our third graders. It begins at 6:30 tonight. Students should be here no later than 6:20. This night if for the third graders and their parents/step-parents only. Siblings and others should not be joining us tonight.
Enrichment Cluster Sales: Attached below is information about tomorrow (for grades K and 2) and Friday’s (for grade 1 and 3) sale of Enrichment Cluster items. There is student a lot of items created and made by our students. It includes jewelry, dog/cat treats, duct tape designs, peace tiles, and so much more. Another item that will be set up on our Farm Stand will be potted basil and ready-to-plant (surprise) flowers. The Stand will be set up each day until we are sold out. All proceeds from these sales will benefit The Tomorrow Fund.
Outdoor Day: Next Monday is our annual outdoor day and cookout. Students will be participating in various games with their classmates during the morning. The cookout will begin at 12:00. All students will eat at the same time and we will be eating on the playground. Teachers will be emailing parents with a class color for children to wear on Monday. Please send your child to school with a water bottle on Monday. You should apply sunscreen prior to coming to school. Hats on your child is highly recommended. Volunteers are still needed for our Outdoor Day. You can register on My School Anywhere.
Last Day of School: Our last day of school is Thursday, June 21. It is a full day.
Other Bits of Information
Yearbooks: There are three yearbooks left that can be purchased. The cost is $21. They will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. If you would like a yearbook, please send a check in today or tomorrow made payable to the Sowams PTO. If you are one of the first three, a yearbook will be given to your child. If not, your check will be returned.
Summer Skill Building: Attached below are some suggestions on things you can do with your child over the summer to assist with keeping skills up during the summer months. These suggestions are from the National Association of Elementary School Principals.
Progress Reports: All students will receive an end of the year progress report. On the last day of school, they will be posted in Aspen. If you have used Aspen in the past and do not recall your username and/or password, you should email email@example.com. This should be requested now rather than the summer. If you have never accessed Aspen, you will need to come to the school and see Mrs. Fallgren.
