Other Bits of Information
Morning Drop Off: Although this has been going smoothly so far, I just want to remind you that parents should stay in their cars when dropping students off in the school’s driveway. By getting out to assist your child, you are holding up the drop off line. Children can exit the car on the passenger side where ever this is a sidewalk.
Playground After School: Just a quick reminder, that children are expected to follow the school expectations on the playground after school. Parents are expected to watch their children and enforce the expectations for safe playground use.
Volunteers: As mentioned above, all volunteers need to have a background check on file with the Barrington Public Schools. Our policy now states that background checks will only be valid for two years. A new check will need to be done in order to volunteer. Also, we do not have access to checks done for other organizations (i.e. Little League).
Paperwork: If you have not sent back your child’s paperwork that was sent home in the yellow folder on the first day of school, please do so as soon as you can.
Remind: This is a free app that can be downloaded in order to receive text messages from Mr. Callahan. Messages, which do not go out often, could include information about buses, no school announcements, or reminders about upcoming events. Click here to sign up.
Community Notices: The district receives community notices. Rather than sending most of them out, the district has a site where you can access off these notices. You can find that site here. There is a Girls Scouts notice attached below.
