What Is It:

• A platform connecting local businesses and organizations with students at Barrington High School in a mutually beneficial relationship. 

• A business or organization that has a need may submit a request using the Community Board Request Form.

The Right Fit:

• The Community Board Coordinator will review the request made by the business and determine the most effective means for addressing the need.

• These means may include:

  • Matching the request with a class or project which will solve the problem.

  • Creating an internship opportunity for a student or group of students.

Building Partnerships:

• Partnerships are created for students to be provided invaluable opportunities and apply the skills they are learning in the classroom to real world situations.  

• This connection is also established to provide businesses and community organizations with the skills and resources they require to fulfill a potential need.

• ​The result is a productive partnership that brings together the school and the community!

How It Works:

1. A business or organization identifies a need

2. The business or organization submits a request using the Community Board Request Form

3. The Barrington High School Community Board Coordinator reviews the request and identifies the most effective means for fulfilling the need

4. The business or organization representative and Barrington High School students work together to fulfill the request
