Family Math Night: On December 5, 2023, join us for a Family Math Night from 5:30-7:00. Come learn various games you can play with your child with just a deck of cards (supplied by us). This is a coma and go night–stay for 15 minutes or stay for an hour. To help us know how many families are coming, please complete this sign up by December 1, 2023.
Buy Nothing Coat Exchange: During the week of November 14, 2023, Sowams will be collecting gently used winter coats for adults and children to benefit the Buy Nothing Coat Day Exchange. This drive is to assist those who cannot afford winter coats during the cold months. There is a box in the school’s foyer. Donations will be accepted from November 14-17, 2023.
Panorama Survey: Grade Three students will be asked to take a survey during the first two weeks of December. (Parents, you will also be asked to take one.) The survey is for Sowams and our district to get feedback on your thoughts and feelings about our school. More information will be sent to you regarding the parent survey. However, as a third grade parent, you may opt your child out of taking the survey. If you would like to opt out of your child taking the survey, please complete this form. Book Fair: Our Book Fair continues. Family Night takes place tomorrow (Thursday) from 5:00-7:00.
No School: As a reminder, we do not have school on November 22, 23, and 24 due to Thanksgiving.
Parent Conferences: Parent conferences are coming on December 8, 2023. Teachers will be sending out information about signing up for a conference. Students in PreK-5 do not come to school on this day. Students in grades 6-12 have a regular school day.
