- Family Poetry Celebration: Our school librarian is hosting a family poetry event on April 28, 2022, right after school. It is a book club to discuss a book of poetry. Information about the book club, including the sign up, may be found here. Weather permitting, we will hold this event outside.
- Book Fair: The Sowams PTO will be sponsoring an in-person book fair. The parent running the fair is Tiffany Hayek. She is looking for some assistance with running this fair. If you are interested in helping out, please email Tiffany at tiffanyhayek@gmail.com.
- April Menu: April is right around the corner so here’s the hot lunch menu for next month.
- Helping Your Child at Home: Recently, a survey was sent to parents asking about what you would like to know about Sowams School. One of the responses that came up often was how to help your child at home. Our teachers, reading and math specialists, librarian, and speech language pathologist have come up with various grade level resources that are easy to use at home. You may access this website here. This is a new site for us so it may be updated over time with additional resources.
- Barrington High School Ukraine Dinner: “The Barrington High School community is having a Ukraine Relief Supper here in the BHS cafeteria on April 3rd from 1-4. We would love to get some more community participation from the elementary and middle schools! We are encouraging whole families to come! This is a huge cause and we could use all the support we can get! There will be a great silent auction and awesome food provided by Spaghetti Lane and Barrington Butchery! Attached is a Google Form with details on how to get tickets. Looking forward to seeing you there! Ukraine Relief Supper Tickets ”
- PTO Meeting: The next PTO meeting is scheduled for April 4 at 7:00 pm. The link to the meeting will be sent out before the meeting.
- Community Notice: There is a notice from BHS After Prom regarding an online auction that is currently taking place. You may find the information here.
