Here’s this week’s Backpack Express, filled with a lot of information for you.
School Hours: School hours are 7:55-2:30. Any student arriving after 7:55 is considered late and will be marked late. If you know your child is going to be late due to an appointment, you need to call the school to let us know and also to let us know if your child is going to be ordering a hot lunch.
Morning Drop Off: Students should not be dropped off before 7:30 in the morning.
Nurse Website: This year, the district nurses have created one website with all of the medical information you need. To visit this site, you may access it here or go to sowamsschool.org and click the “Family” tab at the top of the page.
Grade 1 After School Play: The PTO and Arts Alive will be hosting an after school program for our first graders. It is an introduction class to being a performer. Registration for this class begins on September 16 and the program begins on September 28. All of the information about registration and the program may be found here. We are also looking for a first grade parent to be the liaison for this program. The liaison is a volunteer who is at the rehearsals and assists with getting volunteers, dismissal, communication, and other things. If you are interested in volunteering or if you have any questions, you may email sowamspto@gmail.com.
